The Great Divide Tour Outfits: 6 Summer-Ready Outfits (Without Dressing Like a Bug)

Why it works for the theme: if you followed the previous tour cycle, you know that white overalls were a staple in Noah's wardrobe. I love this look because white overalls are essentially a blank canvas; they’re perfect if you want to embroider your own ladybug patches or add pins to customise your fit.

For this look, I’ve chosen to style the white overalls with a bug-themed headscarf and my own Great Divide inspired embroidered tee.  It’s a great way to pay tribute to Noah’s own stage style while including the "Last of the Bugs" theme in a way that feels relevant to the outfit without taking it over. Plus, from a practical standpoint, the headscarf is a lifesaver for keeping your hair out of your face in a humid summer stadium.

2. The Porch Light Inspired Outfit

Why it works for the theme:  We all know by now that flannels are a staple at Noah Kahan shows. There is no way I could put together a tour outfit list and not include at least one flannel - it just doesn't happen.

To bridge the gap to the "Last of the Bugs" theme, I’ve added a bug-shaped carabiner. Using a bug-shaped one is the perfect way to pay tribute to the theme without letting it overtake your entire body. It’s a small detail that makes a big impact.

3. The Zip Up & Babydoll Dress Combination 

Why it works for the theme: If you want to feel a bit more dressed up than the standard jeans-and-a-tee vibe, a babydoll dress is my go-to. It’s light and breezy for the afternoon heat, but we all know that once the sun sets, things get chilly.

This is where the zip-up hoodie comes in. I’m a firm believer that zip-ups are the superior concert merch. Unlike a pullover, you can wear it open so your outfit (and your jewelry!) stays visible, and it’s way easier to take on and off in a crowded row.

To keep the "Last of the Bugs" theme going without taking over the outfit, I’ve styled this with a butterfly pendant and ladybug themed nails. If you wanted to, you could also add ladybug pins to your braids!

4. The "Ladybug" Tank Top

Why this works for the theme: if the previous looks were a little too subtle for you, this one is for the fans who want to lean into the theme without going full "costume party." I’ve styled this rust-coloured tank top - which features a large ladybug graphic - as the center of the outfit, complimented by the ladybug cap from Noah's official merch store.

It’s the perfect middle ground. Very on theme, but could just as easily be a regular summer day outfit. The hoodie is also an absolute necessity if you're planning on early morning queueing for the barricade - it’ll keep you warm at 6:00 AM, and you can tie it around your waist once it heats up.

5. The Long Skirt & Cowboy Boots Combo

Why this works for the theme: You can't talk about a Noah Kahan show without talking about long skirts. If you’ve seen him live before, you know it’s usually a sea of long, flowy skirts in the crowd. But while the previous tour cycle was all about white linens, The Great Divide feels different. To me, this isn't a "white skirt" album - it's a patchwork, deep-brown, and warm-toned album. The music is more grounded and complex, and I think the outfit should reflect that.

For this one, I've chosen what is guaranteed to be a Great Divide tour setlist staple: Everywhere, Everything. The skeleton tee (complete with the worms in the design!) represents that "till our fingers decompose" sentiment. To keep it tied to the tour's bug theme, I’ve added a ladybug charm bracelet. It’s a subtle way to pay tribute to the "Last of the Bugs" while acknowledging the older songs we still love. Just because there’s new music doesn’t mean we forget the classics!

5. The 'View Between Villages' Look 

Why it works for the theme: 

I wanted to end the list with this look because The View Between Villages is the song that actually gives us the line: "As the last of the bugs leave their homes again." It’s the heart of the whole tour theme, so it felt right to save it for the grand finale.

This outfit is the ultimate "comfort-first" concert fit. I’ve styled an olive green tee (with the iconic lyrics from The View Between Villages) under a pair of black denim overalls. But to really tie in the tour theme, I added a few embroidered bug patches to the overalls. It’s a super easy DIY way to pay tribute to the lyrics without it feeling like you're wearing a costume.

What to Wear to a Noah Kahan Concert: Styling the Great Divide Tour

Final thoughts: if you're wondering if you have to dress up like a bug, the short answer is absolutely not. While the "Last of the Bugs" theme is a huge part of the current tour cycle, there is no "dress code" for a Noah Kahan show. If the literal insect costumes you’re seeing on social media feel like a bit much for you, remember that the most "Noah" way to dress is to be comfortable and authentic to the music.

Here are the best ways to stay on theme without wearing a costume:

• Subtle Jewelry: Look for butterfly pendants, ladybug charm bracelets, or even beetle-themed earrings.
• Themed Nails: A "micro" bug design or botanical nail art is a permanent accessory that doesn't clutter your outfit.
